Magnolia Regional Health Center Emergency Department
Magnolia Regional Health Center EMS is a state licensed advanced life support ambulance service that was founded in 1972 and was the first nationally recognized EMT service in the state. Magnolia Regional Health Center EMS employs 40 paramedics and EMT’s that respond to over 7,500 calls annually. Magnolia Regional Health Center EMS maintains a fleet of 6 advanced life support ambulances and 1 wheelchair van. We provide service from two EMS stations, one on the main campus of Magnolia Regional Health Center, as well as a satellite station at the Magnolia Regional Health Center Community Service Complex on Harper Road.
Magnolia Regional Health Center EMS offers both emergency and non-emergency ambulance transport along with wheelchair transportation to the citizens and visitors of Alcorn County and the surrounding areas.
The staff of Magnolia Regional Health Center EMS receives extensive continuing education to assist them in providing excellent pre-hospital care.

With more than 33,000 patient visits per year, the Emergency Department provides continuous coverage to the citizens of Alcorn County and the surrounding counties of Mississippi and Tennessee. The Emergency Department is a 25 bed unit, consisting of 3 trauma beds, 6 minor medical rooms, and 16 acute beds. Magnolia Regional Health Center uses modern, advanced technology combined with trained Physicians, Family Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses and support staff to provide excellent care to the patients that we serve. Upon arrival, our triage system ensures that each patient is treated by the appropriate qualified medical professional in the most efficient and timely fashion.
Our Emergency Department Physicians are Board Certified in Emergency Medicine or ATLS Certified – Nurse Practitioners staffed in our department are ATLS.
Magnolia Regional Health Center is a designated Level III trauma center by the state of Mississippi as well as being certified through the Society of Chest Pain Centers. Our goal in is to provide our patients with quality emergent care with professionalism, courtesy and compassion “One patient at a time.”
Magnolia Regional Health Center Security Department
The Security Department of Magnolia Regional Health Center provides safety and security to all of our patients, visitors and staff members on all of our campuses. In addition to regular duties, the staff assists with patient and visitor transportation and directions, as well as patient, visitor and employee assistance when needed. Coverage is provided 24 hours, 7 days a week and can be reached by calling the Security Department any time.
