MRHC Dialysis Unit Celebrates Milestone
September 4, 2018 11:28 am
Magnolia Regional Health Center recently celebrated the one-year anniversary of the Inpatient Dialysis Unit within the hospital.
The unit and staff, which began treating patients last August, has proven to be a valuable asset to the community and patients needing dialysis treatments as part of their care.
“The past year has been a game-changer for healthcare in Corinth,” said Dr. Greg Hale, Nephrologist at Magnolia Nephrology Clinic. “We have truly been able to transform lives and keep patients and families here in Corinth that would normally have to travel great distances to receive the same treatment.”
Over the last year, the Inpatient Dialysis Unit has allowed Dr. Hale and staff to provide nearly 1,000 treatments to patients suffering from kidney disease.
“We are extremely proud of the efforts of Dr. Hale and his team,” said Ronny Humes, CEO at Magnolia Regional Health Center. “By continuing to provide state-of-the-art and timely medical services such as inpatient dialysis care, we hope that we can better serve the patients in our community and region.”
“I am excited to continue to see the impact the unit is going to have on our patients’ lives,” said Hale. “We are proud of how far we have come, but we know there is much work to be done to continue to fight the effects of kidney disease within our population of patients.”
