Magnolia Regional Health Center Announces Cigna Contract Resolution
November 19, 2019 10:47 am
Magnolia Regional Health Center (MRHC) announced today that an agreement has been reached with insurance provider, Cigna, and the healthcare organization.
In October, MRHC shared that it had entered into formal negotiations with the insurance provider to ensure that patients covered by Cigna insurance would not see a gap in coverage. The newly reached agreement between the entities will take effect on Dec. 10, 2019, and will continue to allow MRHC to remain in network with Cigna covered patients of the region.
“We’re very pleased that we were able to finalize this agreement,” said Marc Nakagawa, Chief Financial Officer at Magnolia Regional Health Center. “Cigna, and its covered lives, play a vital role in the healthcare of our region, so our team is excited to move forward and continue to provide high-quality care as we have always done for our patients.”
Patients that desire to seek healthcare at MRHC and affiliated physicians should not see a change in their coverage with the new contract and can continue to see the provider in network of their choice.
