Dr. Heather Lusby will be representing the Internal Medicine Residency Program from Magnolia Regional Heath Center at the High Value Practice Academic Alliance (HVPAA) National Conference in September in Baltimore, Maryland.
The conference, sponsored by Johns Hopkins University, is designed to educate health care providers about increasing the quality of patient care and decreasing health care costs. Dr. Lusby was the leader of a project focused on Antimicrobial Stewardship at MRHC. The results of the project entitled ‘Antimicrobial Stewardship in a Community Hospital: Investigation to Compliance and Outcomes’ will be presented by Lusby in poster format.
Other resident physicians who worked on the project include: Dr. Abram Arnold, Dr. Brentley Frossard, Dr. Sahar Jahan, Dr. Branden Moore, and Dr. Raul Ramirez. Several MRHC medical students helped with data collection as well as write-up.
