Hospital Rolls Out New Vehicle Fleet

A new fleet of vehicles will soon be hitting the roads in Corinth and the surrounding region.

Magnolia Regional Health Center is introducing a new vehicle service fleet with 17 new, locally leased Nissan Altima vehicles provided by Enterprise Fleet Management.

Enterprise Fleet Management, a full-service fleet management business, is providing these vehicles for use by the Magnolia Home Health & Hospice and Provider Relations’ staff members as they are making their visits throughout the community and region.

“The implementation of the fleet vehicles will allow us to see significant cost savings each year,” said Ronny Humes, CEO at MRHC. “We also see it as a way to continue to invest in our people. By having a company vehicle, we feel like there will be less stress on them and their personal vehicles, so they can focus on their jobs and continuing to put the patients first.”

Each new Nissan Altima vehicle offers better fuel economy than many employees’ personal vehicles, allowing the hospital to take advantage of the significant cost savings associated with no longer reimbursing employees for mileage driven in their personal cars while making their routine visits day-to-day. In some cases, the fleet vehicles are newer and more reliable than some employee vehicles, which allows the staff to focus more on providing the best patient experience possible instead of worrying about transportation to and from patient locations.

In addition to providing the vehicles, Enterprise provides vehicle registration and use reporting, as well as a fuel card program that automatically monitors fuel purchases and miles for each vehicle. Enterprise also will use local businesses to provide routine service and maintenance.

On top of the added cost savings, MRHC will now gain more exposure from these branded vehicles being on the roads throughout the region.

“Having our logo and brand on this new fleet will be very instrumental for the hospital’s marketing efforts,” said Ben Tucker, Director of Marketing and Public Relations at MRHC. “These employees drive many miles in many counties, and it will be a great visual tool for us to have as they are out on the roads from day-to-day.”
