Internal Medicine Residency Program
In the spring of 2006, with an eye on its future, Magnolia Regional Health Center launched into partnership with Pikeville School of Osteopathic Medicine, to become a core teaching site. MRHC accepted their first group of third-year medical students in August of 2006.
MRHC welcomes the opportunity to be a part of the future of providing highly trained and qualified physicians to Corinth and surrounding communities. With a vision from the CEO and with tremendous support from the hospital Board of Trustees, Administrative staff and guidance from PCSOM, Magnolia Regional Health Center proudly announces the opening of an internal medicine residency program in July of 2008.
Magnolia Regional Health Center takes great pride in training physicians for our rural, medically underserved area. This dedication has resulted in an increase in quality primary care for Northeast Mississippi and the surrounding area and the growth of our institution. Magnolia Regional Health Center offers the benefits of rural living with the opportunity to train in a modern and progressive hospital.
Located in Northeast Mississippi surrounded at the base of the Appalachian Mountains.Corinth is a city of contrast that attracts people from all walks of life for its history and tradition, its community spirit and hospitality, and its excellent quality of life. Whether raising a family or retiring to the “good life,” Corinth is the place to be, and no matter what your age is it is a great place to live.
The strength of the residency program is its “hands on” approach with direct responsibility in patient care. Enthusiasm for teaching from physicians, to support staff and administration, results in a supportive, family-like atmosphere that is conducive to learning.
